Disneyland Bound with Olive Crest Academy's Exceptional Students

by Rob Zwemmer

Rob Zwemmer and Associates, a division of Luxury Homes by Keller Williams Realty of La Quinta, is sponsoring in conjunction with the Olive Crest Academy of the Coachella Valley, a day trip to Disneyland for a selected group of students. The trip will take place on Wednesday, March 21. The principal of Olive Crest selected the school’s top scholastic achievers, and those who have shown the most improvement in their studies. The students range in age from 12 to 17 years.

“We hope to create some happy and lasting memories for these exceptional kids of Olive Crest Academy,” stated Rob Zwemmer. “In addition to the Disneyland day trip, we are asking our vendors to donate money to further benefit the Academy. We are hoping to raise enough funds to provide for the students a scholarship, various school supplies and possibly a laptop.”

Mr. Zwemmer is currently developing a website in order to generate the donations, that link will be released in the coming days.

Olive Crest Academy is a tuition-free charter school dedicated to offering students an academic alternative to traditional classes. It is based on the Early College High School Initiative supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Rob Zwemmer and Associates are proud to be a contributing part of their efforts. Olive Crest’s programs are designed to promote a culture of high academic performance, encouraging logical and critical thinking. There are school locations in La Quinta, Palm Desert and throughout Southern California, the Southwest and Pacific Northwest.

Canadian Retirement Visa Nears ‘A Go’

La Quinta, CA—October 25, 2011— After an over 15-year lobbying process and countless meetings with US senators, immigration attorneys and other political decision makers, ‘The Retirement Visa’ is a ‘near- go’. The visa will allow Canadians, aged 50-plus, to spend as much as 250 days annually within the United States without the worry of complex immigration issues. The bill, S. 1746, also proposes a homeownership visa allowing Canadians of any age to live within the US year-round, while saving a significant amount in income taxes. To qualify, a Canadian citizen would need to spend at least $500,000 in acquiring a home within the United States.

This visa bill is a ‘win-win’, costing virtually nothing while simultaneously serving as a job creator and assisting Canadians in tax reduction. They will have the opportunity to enjoy a lower cost-of-living experience in a warmer climate with a myriad of enriching lifestyle opportunities far away from the snow. Although Canadians will not be able to go to work on the retirement or homeownership visas, they can provide a bridge leading to a ‘work visa’ with proper immigration planning. The bill is currently working its way through Congress, and expected to become law within the first quarter of 2012.

Updates will be provided by Rob Zwemmer and Associates of the Keller Williams Luxury Home Division in La Quinta, CA.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mountain View Country Club Luxury Home
Sells at Record-Breaking Price

La Quinta, CA—October 4, 2011—The luxury housing market throughout the Coachella Valley continues to strengthen due to the record-breaking sale prices currently offered. Among the latest is the luxury home recently sold at Mountain View Country Club in La Quinta.

Rob Zwemmer of Rob Zwemmer and Associates commented: “Our team continues to find great home-buying opportunities in all price segments here in the desert. In the luxury segment, though, a large discount percentage from the original sale price of a property, which was 49 percent in this particular case, adds up to some really big savings for buyers.

This property just sold at Mountain View Country Club offers over 4,400 square feet of luxurious living space, so it is one of the community’s largest and most luxurious homes; the popular Ventana plan. It is located on the golf course with numerous upgrades and sold new for 2.1 million in 2007.

Today’s buyer received a tremendous discount of $850,000 resulting in a sale price of $1,250,000. This was a regular sales transaction that was priced to complete with bank-owned listed homes.” The home was sold by Zwemmer Real Estate associate, Bobbi-Lou Webb.

Zwemmer encourages buyers to contact him regarding comparable luxury properties currently available at these record-breaking sale prices. “It’s the time to buy and get your hands on a luxurious dream home for an unbelievable price.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

INCREDIBLE MORTGAGE RATES AND HUGE HOME INVENTORIES
CREATE HOT BUYER’S MARKET IN THE Palm Springs Area

La Quinta, CA—January 12, 2009—Positive news on the Palm Springs Real Estate market front. Low mortgage rates have created incredible home-buying opportunities in the Palm Springs area. Deemed one of the fastest-growing areas of the country, the unique desert cities that comprise the desert valley are filled with bank-owned and short sale properties that are setting the market pace. It is an opportune time for first-time buyers, investors or those seeking the perfect getaway home where the weather is always pleasant and perfect for optimal outdoor living.

The Palm Springs Real Estate is projected to hit 2009 with renewed energy. The 50-year low interest rates and Bank Owned Homes for Sale ! properties are driving up buyer inquiries.

“The number of calls and showings by home buyers on properties we have listed for sale have certainly increased,” stated Realtor Rob Zwemmer of Keller-Williams Realty. “The bank-owned and short sale properties are expected to sell steadily for the next four to six months.”

The current Palm Springs Real Estate inventory has dropped 12 percent over the last six months, so this is the perfect time to make the move and purchase the home that fits your needs.

“With an incredible 5.26 percent, 30-year fixed rate, what a great incentive to buy!” added Mr. Zwemmer.
“All  desert home buyers embarking on a Real Estate purchase should do their homework first by reviewing credit scores, etc. Maintaining great credit will help the credit score when qualifying for a loan, resulting in a lower interest rate. Always review your credit report for accuracy. The three main credit reporting agencies, Experion, Equifax and Transunion will provide a free report each year, just for the asking. And a quick tip when ordering your reports:  instead of ordering all three at once, consider staggering the requests throughout the year.
This will allow you to check your reports more frequently. Any mistakes should be corrected immediately.
Of course, make sure bills are paid on time as 35 percent of a credit score is based on payment history.”
